Delete Your Account or Data
Last updated: 27 June 2026
Twoward (“we”, “us”, “our”) lets you permanently delete your whole account, or just specific data, at any time. You can do this yourself inside the app, or by emailing us.
Delete your account (instant, in the app)
- Open Twoward and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Manage account.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
Your account and data are deleted right away. Want a copy first? Use Export my data on the same screen before deleting.
Delete only some data (without deleting your account)
- Clear your Sage history — in Settings, clear your saved conversations and summaries with Sage.
- Delete individual items — remove specific journal entries and reminders where you created them.
- Ask us — email hello@twoward.app from your account’s email to request deletion of specific data.
Prefer to email us?
Email hello@twoward.app from the address on your Twoward account and tell us what you’d like deleted — your whole account, or specific data. We’ll verify it’s you and take care of it.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials.
- Your profile (name, date of birth, gender) and preferences.
- Your private content — journal entries, your private conversations with Sage, reminders, reflections, and growth notes.
What may be kept
- If you’re not paired, your entire shared space is deleted along with your account.
- If you’re paired, content shared with your partner — notes, moods, promises, and milestones you made together — is kept, because it’s also part of their history. Your partner is returned to an unpaired account and notified. Your own private content is always deleted.
Timing & retention
Deletion happens immediately when you confirm. Residual copies in encrypted backups are removed within 30 days. We may retain a minimal record only where required by law.
